For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:12-13
The longer I am with Love INC, the more I see how so many people think of a building when you say the word “church”.
I hear of people within these buildings trying to do their own thing to make an impact within God’s Kingdom.
Even though these efforts do produce some fruit, I can’t help but wonder how much more fruit would be seen if we all thought of the Church as “one body,” the way we are supposed to.
One or two lives may be impacted when we do things on our own, but how many lives could be impacted if we did it together?
There is nothing more touching to me than to see multiple church buildings come together as one body for the greater good of the community.
And this supports the mission of Love INC and what we try to do.
So I challenge you to join us in sharing this view of the Church with others, to help them to understand that the Church is “one body.” And without us coming together, the body is not complete.
Just imagine the impact that could be made within our communities if we saw ourselves as “One Church, one body, on the same mission”!
