I love Fall. I love the contrast of colors displayed by the sun’s slanted rays. In the middle of all this beauty, I love baking with apples. I’ve been playing around with four variations of Apple Crisp. In order to recreate the New England version Mom made, I peeled and pared McIntosh apples and added plenty of butter and sugar for the crumble.
Good food, baking in the kitchen and gathering at the table offer opportunities for lasting memories. There’s a reason we recall moments like these with such detail. Food involves all of our senses. When combining great food with good friends and family, the moment becomes memorable.
Our cooking workshop invites neighbors to gather at our table, share and learn from one another. It is practical (a great way to save money) but it is more than that-it’s personal. Conversations at our workshops allow for the opportunity to share life, point the way to God and encourage our neighbors on their journey toward transformation in Christ.
