In ways that she could not have imagined prior to her own life tragedies, God has used Kim to equip, empower and encourage people of all backgrounds. Having earned a Master’s degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Deerfield, IL) and a Pastoral degree from Eugene Bible College (Eugene, OR), it was through her training with Forge Chicago that she was able to synthesize the events of her life and biblical training to lead others into mission and discipleship. In 2010 Kim, in partnership with Fusion Church, founded a missional community in a mobile home park in Illinois. There Kim has encountered the dire effects of broken lives and the challenges they present. She has also seen how God uses those redeemed from addiction, abuse, betrayal and divorce to further his kingdom to the marginalized and disenfranchised. She is convinced it is those who are broken who have the greatest power to reach those who would never darken the doors of a church.

After his initial training, he was the Campus Director of the ministries at the University of Montana and the University of Washington. In 2011 Eric decided that his gifts and skills had been perfectly suited to the start-up of this Love INC affiliate, but that God was ready for him to pass the torch to leaders who are called and equipped to take LISW into the future. Eric refocused his energy on his family, a variety of pastoral duties, and his role as Chicago Director of Forge Missions Network. You can keep up with Eric’s ministry via his website: www.ericlerew.com.
Please join us in giving thanks to God for Eric’s amazing leadership and vision casting, and in praying for God to continue to bless his ministry!
